Darwen Larder

Our food larder is operated by a multi-faith partnership and provides a call and collect service. We were founded in 1997 by “Churches Together in Darwen” in response to a family in crisis.  We continue to operate with the help and support of an amazing team of volunteers in collaboration with the people of Darwen.

Food can be requested via phone, email, Facebook page or our website. A package containing at least 3 days’ food is then prepared for collection.  Contact is made to confirm when a parcel is ready.

“Meeting Places”, Croft Street, is our centrally located collection hub.

We are grateful for the help we receive from many local businesses, faith organisations, Lloyds Trust, Rotary Club and Darwen Town Council. The generosity of the people of Darwen continues to astound us.

Donations can be made in the form of physical items or financial support.
