Antley
Antley Methodist Church can be found on the border between Church and Accrington and seeks to serve both communities by bringing them the Good News of Jesus, our Saviour and Lord.
Our modern church building, reconstructed from the previous two storey church building and completed in 1961, reflects the contemporary outlook of the church. Worship and prayer are central to all we do, and our building lends itself to different styles of worship. Sunday morning worship is at 10:30am and if you come into the church on a Sunday morning, or at any other time, you will find a warm welcome. As with any Methodist Church the variety of Ministers and Local Preachers leading our services brings variety and theological variety and balance. We also have a Junior Church for our younger members. As well as Sunday morning worship we have a monthly Prayer and Praise service at 9:30am on the first Saturday of the month and a weekly Zoom Bible Study on Tuesday evening.
The church has thriving small fellowship groups.
Serving the community around the church is important to us as we seek to follow Jesus’ command to love our neighbours as we love ourselves. We have several church social groups including The Girls’ Brigade and Boys Association, Coffee Morning, Craft Group and luncheon club.
