Stanhill
Stanhill Methodist Church is located in Stanhill Village and is very much a village chapel. It has a mixed congregation of all ages and a regular Junior Church. Sunday morning worship is fairly traditional, with a mixture of hymns and modern worship songs. Fellowship is important to us, and we warmly welcome anybody who visits our church. In our own gentle way we seek to bring the Good News of Jesus to our community.
The Church is a former United Free Methodist Chapel and is one of the last such chapels in its original condition. Stanhill is a registered Heritage Chapel and in addition to our regular Sunday morning worship we occasionally hold afternoon heritage services. Recent heritage services have included one focusing on World War One and a Victorian Holy Communion. We work in close partnership with the Stanhill Heritage Project, and open our doors for the National Heritage Open Days in September each year.
Social activities the Brew Days for the Community. These are held on the third Wednesday of every month at 2pm and there is a guest speaker. There are also lots of delicious cakes and biscuits!
